>> UN declares water a human right

On 26 November the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights adopted a General Comment on the right to water, which explicitly recognises water as a human right. WaterAid welcomes this milestone announcement and plans to raise awareness of the right amongst poor communities living without water. Read more here.
Partners for Brent hold an annual conference to meet the residents of Brent and to review progress against the action plan. The first conference was held in Brent Town Hall on the 5th December 2001. Click here if you would like to download a copy of the conference report.
